Study for Exams

Reflect and plan before preparing for an exam!  Many factors can impact your preparation and your performance.  Take time to consider how you learn when studying, how long you study, what you do in your study sessions and how you function in the exam. We lose or acquire information through an information-processing system (IPS) in our brain. This system identifies how we store, encode (change information in some way before it is stored) and retrieve information. The diagram below shows the components of the IPS.
