Duke

Welcome friends and family of our 2013 graduates.

Commencement Weekend 2013, Friday, May 10 through Sunday, May 12, is a special time for your student, family and the entire Duke community.  You and your graduate are invited to attend a number of Major Events this weekend, including the Baccalaureate Service, the President’s Reception on the Chapel Quadrangles and the Commencement Ceremony.  Diploma Ceremonies hosted by individual schools and the departments and programs in Trinity College are scheduled following Commencement.  In addition to these events, you’ll find information on Other Events and Special Ceremonies which are hosted by departments or affinity groups.

Please note that you do not need tickets for the Commencement Ceremony.  Tickets are required for guest admission only to the Baccalaureate Service and your student is responsible for picking up these tickets.

Individuals with disabilities needing special accommodations for any event over the weekend should contact the Disability Management System at (919) 668-1499, as far in advance as possible.  Family and friends who are not able to attend the Baccalaureate Service or the Commencement Ceremony may view these events through our live webcast.

We hope you find this website helpful as you make your plans for Commencement Weekend at Duke.  Please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Special Events & University Ceremonies at (919) 684-3710 with your questions.  We look forward to welcoming you to campus for Commencement Weekend May 10 – 12.
