Durham to Present Resolution to City's Haitian Community

In light of the recent devastation in Haiti, the Durham Board of County Commissioners will present a special resolution to the Haitian community. The event will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 25 in the Commissioners Chambers, located on the second floor of the Durham County Administrative Complex (200 East Main Street, Durham).
Former Haitian ambassador to the U.S., Jean Casimir, who is also a visting professor in Duke's Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies, will join members of the Haitian Student Association to accept the declaration.
