Template 1 has horizontal navigation, with styling within the navigation for second- and third-level pages. The home page consists of three main information areas, with editable images and content to fit the individual needs of a particular school, institute or center. Second-level pages have room for an image, with a variety of heading choices pre-defined for use. Second- and third-level pages were developed for additional content.

The bottom footer contains commonly-used links across Duke University, as well as a showcase of recent videos featured on Duke on Demand. The subfooter below the black bar contains links to duke.edu subpages and icons linked to official Duke social media outlets.

Consistent across all three templates is the Duke brand bar and Duke University title branding, which can be edited with the name of an individual Department or Center. Included in the download is a .psd to assist users in editing the title name.
