Duke Mock Trial

Duke Mock Trial comprises a program of engaged, dynamic, and creative undergraduates who share a common passion for mock trial.  Among the most successful collegiate mock trial programs in the country, Duke Mock Trial has qualified for the National Championship Tournament 14 times in its 18 year history.  Most recently, in 2012 Duke Mock Trial won the National Championship. Furthermore, individual attorneys and witnesses have earned awards across dozens of tournaments, ranging from All-Region to All-American.

Collegiate Mock Trial

Mock trial provides students who enjoy public speaking, acting, and debate the opportunity to compete in a courtroom setting at a national level.  Teams prepare both a prosecution and defense, and attend tournaments where they present both sides of the case in different trials; there, they will be judged by panels of attorneys, judges, and law students.  The cases alternate annually between criminal and civil trials.  For more information, see our About page.
