Collaboration and Community
The Duke Climate Commitment encompasses the full breadth of the University — every school, center and institute on our campuses has a role in our work to develop and implement climate solutions.
As we chart our course for the next century, the Duke Climate Commitment is essential to our vision. This university-wide initiative addresses the climate crisis by fostering sustainable and equitable solutions for a resilient, carbon-neutral world.

Our First 100 Years
Duke wasn’t always Duke. What started as a small school two hours west of Durham has grown in incredible ways.
A Centennial of Progress
The captivating story of the founding of Duke University tells of grand dreams and progressive ideals, but it is only one of Duke’s stories.
Leadership
Our institutional culture is built upon our history and values. Our shared values—respect, trust, inclusion, discovery and excellence—are more than aspirations. They are the beliefs and behaviors that we expect of ourselves and of our colleagues.

President
Vincent Price
